Easter Sunday, 2007 I decided to go to church....I wrote out a check for $100....Upon arriving, before the 3rd service, I noticed people enjoying coffee and cookies....I got my $1 out for the donation....Fruit...nuts...creme puffs...bars...cookies...yum...Just before I was to pour my coffee, I felt a tap on my shoulder...."Are you in the choir?""No," I replied...."Well....this is for the choir and staff" she angrily stated.....I replied...."Oh...I'm so sorry....I thought this was like they do in Minnesota between services..This is my first time here..."  "Well...sometimes we do but  not today.." she said.....Just then the pastor rose and said..."I want to thank the choir for singing at the 3 services.."  I got my coffee and quickly exited to the overflowing chairs by the usher....I said to him..."I suppose I'll have to join the choir, now.."  I ate everything on my plate and found a seat .
The pastor said that today was communion and when you come up you can leave your donation in the basket....I got my check out....I made a decision on the spot....I said, "God....instead of donating this money to the church....I would like to buy $100 worth of glass and give my necklaces away  and make everyone happy..." "Go ahead," he replied and I put the  $7 I found in my pocket in the basket....So....I have done just that....I can say...".It is more blessed to give than to receive."...CE  (WRITTEN JUNE 2008)
